Free camping Marrawah, Smithon North West Coast Tasmania spectacular free campground, popular with surfers suiting camping in tents, campervans, camper trailers and smaller caravans. There is no charge to camp at the Marrawah campground, however the camping area is only small and other camping options in the immediate area are non-existent. There are toilets, an outdoor cold shower, picnic table, barbecue and shelter. Please note the weather conditions in this area can be changeable and very challenging. Take note of all signs, and only swim or surf with care. Taking long walks on the beach at the Marrawah campground is very popular. In this area you will find lots of Aboriginal rock carvings around Green Point, Preminghana and West Point. All campers should carry their own firewood, food and fresh water. There are water taps, however it is recommended that you boil water before consuming. Please note this camping area gets very busy during summer holidays, and particularly over the Christmas New Year period and long-weekends during summer. It is also busy during Easter, especially if the weather is warm and fine. As it is only a small camping area, be prepared as there are limited camping options in this reasonably remote part of Tasmania.
