Lilydale Falls free camping, small but attractive located at Lilydale, app. 25 kilometres North East of Launceston on the B81 Highway. The small, but picturesque Lilydale Falls are located just a short walk from the camping area. Suitable for all forms of camping, but extra big rigs will struggle. There is a maximum 2-night stay at the Lilydale Falls Reserve campsite. This campground is suitable for campervans, caravans and motorhomes as well as tent based camping. You will find signposted access to the Lilydale Falls campground located 2.5 kilometres north of Lilydale. This reserve is a popular picnic area for use by day visitors to the Falls. A short easy walk will take you to two sets of falls, one above the other which, although small, is picturesque. The Lilydale Falls free camping area reserve has good amenities including fireplaces, toilets, water, a picnic table, showers, shelter and other camping facilities. There is a small cost for showers, caravan power connection and campsites. Fees are payable to the Lilydale Newsagent & Takeaway located in Main Rd Lilydale. The Lilydale Falls campground has a playground, picnic shelter and free firewood making it an attractive free campsite for people looking for free camping within a short drive of Launceston, as an alternative to a commercial caravan park. There is a grassed area beyond some bollards that is suitable for tent camping, where you will have to carry your own equipment. Sites for larger vehicles including campervans, caravans and motorhomes are located in the adjoining gravel carpark.
